The Legacy Collection
Wave 12
#49
AT-AT Driver

Accessories
The AT-AT Driver is packaged with blaster, helmet, and a build-a-droid piece.

Look and Feel
There has been a lot of talk on the web about this figure. Is his head to big or if it is movie accurate. In my opinion there is one issue going on with this figure that has caused all the problems. That issue, the helmet sits to high on the figure. The body seems to be in scale and the helmet seems to be the correct size. The only other issue I have with this figure is with the control panel attached to his helmet. In the reference photos I have looked at there is no red box around the top right rectangle.

Articulation
The AT-AT Driver has ball-hinged joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, knees, and ankles. There are also swivel joints in the forearms and hips.

Overall Reaction
I think that because of fan demand for removable helmets is the biggest issue with this figure. I honestly could care less about seeing this guy's head as you never see it in the movie. Had the head not been so tall perhaps the helmet would have sat better on the figure and we would all be happier with him. I have heard several people say that they liked The Saga Collections figure better but I would gladly take the added articulation of this version. In my neck of the woods this figure has become a big troop builder and for good reason. If you are happy with the previous version then this figure is a skip, but if you are like me and love added articulation it is definitely worth the pickup. Perhaps you have a head that you can swap with this figure to make his helmet sit even better.
