Dewback with Imperial Sandtrooper
AKA... Dewback Patrol!

Accessories
Sandtrooper is packaged with a lance, backpack, and a blaster rifle.
Dewback is packaged with harness, saddle, and reigns.

Look and Feel
We here at Dewback Patrol have been waiting on this one for a WHILE! Speaking only on the Dewback, he is fantastic! Members of Dewback Patrol (Redleader) wasn't pleased that it follows the concept art more than the Original A New Hope look, but I must say when I have it in had I could care less about the curvature of the Dewback's skull. The harness, saddle, and reigns look great as does the attention to detail as seen in the claws and body. Hasbro gets and A+ for this in my book!

When I heard the news that we were getting a ball jointed Sandtrooper my first reaction was one of joy, then the thought of Saga Legends repaints had me running for cover. I must be honest I LOVE this figure. One thing that bothered me about the last release was that their legs weren't separated enough and gave the appearance like they were in need of a restroom. This version has a lot wider stance, but not too much for me. I was pleased to see the contours in this Sandtrooper's pauldron as that is what is seen on the screen. I was also jazzed to get that blaster rifle, but I am not happy about the plastic used for it. The barrel of my blaster is a little to rubbery which causes it to bend easy. I think the biggest issue I have with this creature and figure is that the saddle is very wide, even for a ball jointed Sandtooper. With enough adjusting though you can find a position that looks natural.

Articulation
The Dewback features ball-hinged neck, shoulders, hips, and ankles. There is NO swivel articulation on this bad boy!
The Sandtroooper features ball-hinged neck, shoulders, elbows, torso, hips, knees, and ankles. The only swivel joint on this figure is in his wrists.

Overall Reaction
I am extremely pleased with the Dewback with Imperial Sandtrooper. Honestly the only problems I had with it were the saddle (which is over come with some moving about) and the fact that his tail is swinging the wrong way for my display (oh well!). I like the Sandtrooper so much that I would heavily consider rebuying all my Sandies if they were re-released with ball jointed hips. I like the Dewback so much that I am seriously considering buying a second but will wait until the next few waves of figures finally hit my neck of the woods. If there is one still around after that time I will be buying a second. I don't think I have been this pleased with a creature purchase since I got my vintage version! Snap them up boys they are worth every penny! Speaking of price... I still can't believe it was only $30.00! I was scared it was going to be $40.00. I still would have bought at the price!
