Look and Feel
I was a huge fan of the Tartakovsky Clone Wars shorts that led up to the release of Revenge of the Sith. During the final run of these shorts we were introduced to Asajj Ventress. In an effort to impress Count Dooku, Ventress assembles several combatants that fight it out to the death. L8-L9 is one of these combatants. I thought this was a fantastic representation of this character!

Articulation
Being a build-a-droid, L8-L9's articulation has limitations. He has swivel neck, shoulders, hips, and forearms. He also features ball-hinged elbows, knees, ankles, and torso (this seems to be the status quo as several of the last non-astromechs have had the same points of articulation). I was pleased that he did have swivel sholders and forearms as those fireballs are pretty heave for a pile of plastic.

Overall Reaction
This is a very solid figure and I was delighted to add him to my collection. For the time being I will be living the fireballs out of the arms as I have seen what has happen with only gravity pushing my battledroids down to the ground.
