Wave 7
Bulid-a-Droid #47
Captain Typho
Accessories
Captain Typho comes with a comlink, blaster, and removable hat. Also packed with this figure is a droid part to the build-a-droid HK-47.
Look and Feel
I can't even begin to say how much more I enjoy this figure than the pilot version we got in the Saga line. He looks very screen accurate to me and I love the ability to take off his hat and comlink and the option to clip on the blaster. I can't recall if he had a holster or not and I haven't found a great reference photo. The added soft goods really make the figure look nice.
Articulation
Captain Typho does get some better articulation than Beru or Owen, but could use a bit more in my opinion. He has ball-hinged neck, shoulders, elbows knees, and ankles. Typho's forearms, hips and waist are swivels. I don't think Typho needs to be super articulated (I don't remember him riding a beast which would warrant ball-hinged hips), but I would love to have better articulation in the torso. I think Hasbro decided against this to make his jacket look more screen accurate so this is understandable.
Overall Reaction
I really like this figure and even thought about trying to customize a Panaka out of him, but Dewbackhunter talked me out of it. I have really enjoyed how Hasbro has done an exceptional job with removable hats of late and this figure gives me the ability to have Typho stand with is hat tucked under his arm or have it on his head. For me this is a must buy figure. Great job Hasbro!
