DEWBACK Q&A

ABOUT DEWBACKPATROL.COM

DewbackPatrol was established by a group of fellow Star Wars collectors from the NorthEast who originally met online through a collector's forum. At that time, we decided to meet in person for some drinks and discussion of all things Star Wars. As with any group, topics actually ranged from family life to health to occupations to politics but the focus always came back to Star Wars 3 and 3/4 inch action figures. In the past few years, we have added a couple new core members, met out at restaurants, went to cons, met eachother's families, traded figures, hooked eachother up with hard-to-find waves, and waited in midnight madness lines. So after discussing it for about 3 years (we are a lazy bunch), we finally decided to establish our own site. At a brainsorm meeting held on Friday 5/22/09 we discussed possible site names, site design, and our individual roles. We decided on DewbackPatrol for a few reasons...the cool iconic SW imagery of the dewback, its connection to the original trilogy, fond memories of the original toy, and the name was available!

It was also at this geektogether that we established our purpose... to provide a focus on 3 and 3/4 inch Star wars figures from classic Kenner through the modern Hasbro era.
Typically, when we visit other fan sites around the web (and there are MANY excellent sites out there) we are often weeding through reports on every type of collectible out there when our only true focus is vintage and modern 3 and 3/4 inch Star Wars figures. To that end, we offer dewbackpatrol.com. A site dedicated to posting interesting 3 and 3/4 inch news. This includes breaking news, some discussion on customs, info on repro weapons, possibly a 3 and 3/4 inch Q&A (if we receive questions), some SW toy reviews, the Hasbro Q&A, and most importantly a *fairly open forum to discuss Star Wars. I'm sure we'll make some mistakes along the way but hopefully we'll also have a little fun and meet some like-minded friends as we did when we first started our own group.
