imageDewbackPatrol: The Vintage Collection FOUND in the US

DewbackPatrol's own VaderRed snagged some of the new Vintage collection today at TRU. He then alerted me who picked up the AT-AT Commander for myself and Leia and Boba Fett for Empire1980. And here's a tip to others who find them at TRU...all shelf tags read $7.49 but they ring up at $9.99. It doesn't hurt to ask if you can get it for $7.49. AND, TRU is currently running a Buy 1, get 1 50% off sale on all SW toys! Good times people!

I made my daily stop at Walmart only to find that there were a ton of figures that were on the pegs yesterday that have gone missing. I noticed that they were all Plo Koon and Saesee Tiin. I wonder if they are in the process of clearancing them out or if they were sent back to Hasbro.

Today we have the results of DewbackPatrol's first contest! As a reminder, all you had to do was submit a question for an upcoming Hasbro Q&A session in our forums and we entered your name into a random drawing to win the very cool Hasbro Remote Controlled Republic Gunship (see below). The winner is also receiving a secret non-SW figure. We can now reveal that the non-Star Wars figure is none other that Snake Eyes from G.I.Joe (trenchcoat version). A big thank you to Hasbro and HunterPR (especially Joe and Dan) for donating the Gunship and figure.

And now the WINNER of the Remote Controlled Gunship and Snake Eyes is... BibFortuna15 (aka Jason D). Expect the items to arrive in about a week or so Jason. DewbackPatrol will be picking up the shipping tab. Enjoy!

I arrived home today to find my son's Nahdar Vebb in the mail as I do not collect CW. I must admit, it reminds me of the old days waiting months for a figure to arrive in the mail and then as soon as it was forgotten... it arrived! Now the torch has been passed to a new generation (except for the rocket firing Boba Fett of course - that one is mine, mine, mine!)

imageWho's in the box?

So I order the new Cloud City Wing Guard from from Hasbro Toy Shop. I definately wondered how the "new" version could be out when it wasn't mentioned in any upcoming case packs. But Hasbro Toy Shop has had a great record for me with identifying proper build-a-droid parts, packing the correct items, etc. Later that day after mentioning the purchase on our forums, Empire1980 tells me that he hears it was a BAD move (no pun intended) to order this figure. After all, I already have 2 of the black Bespin guards and don't need any more. So what did I get? Did I win out or lose out? Click below to find out.
